How to Apply Online for CSIR NET December 2026

• First, you need to visit the official CSIR NET website – https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/
• Once there, you will see a ‘Candidate Activity’ section on the home page, which contains several links.
• To submit an online application, please click on this link – https://examinationservices.nic.in/
• Once you click, you will be redirected to an external website where the entire application process will take place.
• You will see three boxes here. 1- STEPS TO APPLY ONLINE, 2- Register yourself for the above-mentioned examination, 3- Already registered Candidate
• If a candidate is new, they should click on ‘New Registration’. If a candidate has already registered, they should click on ‘Login’.
• After logging in, the application form will open.
• Fill in your personal information, educational qualifications, and examination subjects.
• Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• After that, select the fee option and pay the fee online using a suitable method.
• Finally, you need to click the check box and submit. Once submitted, download your completed application form.

CSIR UGC NET 2026 Eligibility

Generally, candidates holding a Master’s degree in a relevant science discipline or an accepted equivalent subject are eligible to apply. A minimum of 55% marks is required for candidates in the General and General-EWS categories, while a minimum of 50% marks applies to candidates in the OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender categories.

Students who are currently in the final year of the relevant degree are also eligible to fill out this form.

• SC / ST / PwD: ₹325
• Late Fee (Extra): ₹500

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Upon qualifying for JRF and securing admission to a PhD program, a fellowship—as determined by the government—is provided. If you conduct any kind of research, you will have the opportunity to receive a fellowship.
• Assistant Professor – This provides candidates with the opportunity to apply for Assistant Professor recruitment in universities and colleges. The certificate remains valid for lifetime
• PhD Admission – If you have qualified for the CSIR-NET, you will be eligible for admission under this category. The validity of this certificate is one year.
